How it works

Three steps, about five minutes

  1. Tell us about your child

Their name, age and look: skin tone, hair, glasses, anything that makes them them. A photo can fill the form for you if you like.

  2. Make it yours

Pick one of two Christmas stories, a narrator voice, and add a pet, a brother or sister, and a dedication from whoever is giving it.

  3. Open it together

Usually within 2 hours, we'll email you a private link. Read it on a tablet with narration, or download the PDF to print at home.

Two stories this Christmas

Your child saves Christmas

Both stories are gentle, funny and about 16 pages long, written to be read aloud at bedtime for children aged 1 to 10.

A girl with glasses and her white cat watch a little star fall into the snowy garden through a bedroom window.

…and the Lost Christmas Star

On Christmas Eve a little star tumbles out of the sky and lands in the garden. With a fox, an owl and a lot of courage, your child carries it to the tallest hill and helps it home.

Look inside
A girl in a lilac hijab rides a young reindeer holding a golden bell, racing beside an elf with a lantern toward Santa's red sleigh.

…and Santa's Missing Sleigh Bell

Santa's golden sleigh bell has fallen into the forest, and without its jingle the sleigh can't fly. Your child, a young reindeer and an elf follow the sound through the snow to find it.

Turn a few pages

These pages are from a real book we made for Finn, a fictional child. Your book has every page, with your child's name and look.

Cover: Finn, a freckled boy with red curls, sits in his wheelchair under a smiling star over a snowy village.
Finn and the Lost Christmas Star
Finn in his wheelchair at the window with his brown dog Rusty as a star falls into the garden.
Then, whoosh! One little star slipped out of the sky, tumbled through the snowflakes, and landed with a soft plop right in Finn's garden. Rusty pressed his warm nose to the frosty glass, and his tail went thump, thump, thump.
Finn in his wheelchair crosses a frozen pond beside a white fox, the little star glowing in his pocket.
Across the frozen pond they went, one careful step at a time. The ice creaked and sparkled, and the little star in Finn's pocket glowed a little brighter.
Finn and the fox meet a great snowy owl at the foot of the tallest hill.
At the foot of the tallest hill sat a great snowy owl, as white as the snow itself. "This hill is far too steep for small feet," hooted the owl. "Climb on, Finn!"
Finn, the fox and the owl watch the star rise back into the sky.
The star floated up, up, up, and filled the hole in the sky. It shone brighter than all the others. "Thank you, Finn!" it sang. "I will never forget you."
Finn asleep in his warm bed, hugging a little toy fox.
Back in his warm bed, Finn smiled and closed his eyes. And every Christmas after, one star always shone just for him.

Made for every child

They'll see themselves on every page

Children notice when a book gets them right. You choose from eight skin tones, straight, wavy, curly and coily hair, and styles like two puffs, braids, a bun or an afro.

Glasses, a hijab, a wheelchair or a hearing aid stay with your child on the pages where they appear, and every page is checked for them before your book is sent.

The covers here are from our test books. The children are fictional.

Questions

Good to know

Do I need to upload a photo?

No. The photo is optional and only fills in the appearance choices for you. You can pick everything by hand in a couple of minutes.

What happens to the photo?

It is sent once to our AI provider (Anthropic) to read visible features like hair and skin tone, then discarded. We never store it, and it is never used to draw the book. You see every suggestion and can change it before you continue.

How long does it take?

Usually within 2 hours of payment. Your book link appears on the confirmation page as soon as it's ready, and we'll email you a private link too. If a book needs extra care, it will arrive within 24 hours.

What can we read it on?

Any tablet, phone or computer with a web browser. There's no app to install. The reader works best on a tablet held sideways, and once opened it also works offline.

Can I print it?

Yes. Every book comes with a PDF you can print at home or at a local print shop. A printed hardcover edition isn't available yet.

What if we don't love it?

Tell us within 14 days. We'll first offer to remake the book for free, and if you're still not happy we'll refund you in full. See the refund policy.

Who charges my card?

Payments are handled by Creem, our merchant of record. Creem is the seller on your receipt and takes care of sales tax and VAT. We never see your card details.

Can I share the book?

Yes. Anyone with the link can read the book, so share it with grandparents, or keep it to yourself.

What do you keep about my child?

Only what you type in the form: first name, age and the look you choose. Your child's details from the form are deleted 90 days after purchase. The finished book stays available at its private link; email us to delete it sooner. Read our privacy policy.

Is it only in English?

For now, yes.
